Micron was incorporated in Malaysia on 28 September 2004 under the Act, as a private limited company under the name of Micron Metal Engineering Sdn Bhd. Subsidiary of Xin Hwa Holdings Berhad listing on main board of Bursa Malaysia.

Micron is principally involved in the manufacturing of precision machining components and parts. At present, Micron's main product offering are focused on the manufacturing and supply of precision shafts.
Precision shaft is a rotating machine element which is used to transmit power from one part of a machine to another, and precision parts and small metal attachments, which are highly precise machinery parts that are widely used in computers, mechanical gears and consumer electronic appliances.

Since the commencement of its business operations in 2004, Micron's products have been used in various industry applications which include but not limited to, imaging and printing machines such as printers, copiers and scanners, control valves used in oil and gas industries and medical equipment.
